Shoutout to the trip making it out of the group chat!
We recently went on a friends' weekend getaway to Louisville, KY and had a blast! Keep reading for details of our entire Mid-South experience.
OUR STAY
Hyatt Regency Louisville is such a beautiful hotel - inside and out!
Our hotel was very close to pretty much everything that we did. It has easy access to the Fourth Street Live! Promenade and took us no more than 10 minutes, if that, to restaurants and bars.
ACTIVITES
Located inside the Hilton Garden Inn Louisville Downtown, 8UP is an elite rooftop experience. The views are gorgeous, with all of the luxe feels present.
We highly recommend this rooftop, however make sure to call for reservations or get there early! It is very popular and will fill up fast.
Fourth Street Live! is a premier entertainment, nightlife and retail promenade. It's such a fun and lively area right in Downtown Louisville. This place jumps every night with something to do for everyone. Security is stationed on just about every corner, so for a group of women, we felt comfortable all night.
One of the best museums we've ever been to. Meticulously curated.. You can NOT visit Louisville without coming here to see The Greatest.
Whiskey Row
'Whiskey Row' is a one block-long entertainment district of bars, a distillery, eateries and river views. This was one of our favorite activities during the trip.
Try the Barrel Bar for open-window seating and people-watching. Be prepared for people to come up to you to talk or to buy you a drink, lol.
HOW TO EAT
Parlay Sports Bar is incredible! It came highly recommended by locals and we saw why. The menu is full of your usual suspects, but with a twist! Everything is beyond afforable, the drinks are strong, and the staff is amazing.
Listen, Philly Cheesesteak mozzarella sticks?! FIRE!
Also, Parlay is a short 5-minute walk from the Hyatt Regency and two blocks away from Fourth Street Live! Promenade.
