Secrets Wild Orchid Montego Bay Christmas 2022

I recently visited Montego Bay, Jamaica to do some Holiday R&R. We had a six-day, five-night stay at the Secrets Wild Orchid and regretted nothing! Jamaica has been on my travel wish list for a while, so it was the perfect place to escape the inevitable Midwestern blizzard and scratch off the list. Win-Win!!

Views, views and more views! Montego Bay is absoluely amazing. It is one of the most beautiful places I've been to.

Commute

The Secrets compound is situated on a peninsula only 15 minutes from the Sangster Interantional Airport - Montego Bay. Out of Negril and Ochos Rios, we were more comfortble with Montego Bay because of the short transfer and close proximity to resources.

Note: The resort is private and gated. You are not permitted to leave the grounds unless authorized or with a guide. So, no worries about anyone just wandering around.

Club Mobay

Club Mobay is a concierge service located at Sangster International Airport in Montego Bay. This service expedites your arrival and departure processes through customs and immigration. It also houses a VIP lounge, food, cocktails, and WI-FI. We opted for this service on our way back home.

Honestly, if you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the airport, it's pretty cool to try. However, we found it somewhat chaotic as well. Maybe because we used Club Mobay during holiday travel, it didn't feel as exclusive as it led on, but I say try it at least once.

Secrets Wild Orchid

An adults-only getaway was our only non-negotiable because we wanted to lounge and not be too distracted. Secrets Wild Orchid had everything we needed, so we booked immediately. The Hyatt-owned property also hosts Secrets St. James and Breathless Resorts & Spas Montego Bay. Pro tip: if you stay at one, you have access to most amenities and accommodations at the other. So bomb!

We upgraded to a Preferred Club Room with Wild Orchid, which gave us full access to Secrets St. James and Breathless Resorts & Spas Montego Bay; Three resorts in one without limits?! BET!!

Secrets SPA by Pevonia

The word for the trip was "lackadaisical"; We didn't want to be constrained to any activities this go around, but our Preferred Club option provided room credits, so we booked a couples massage. Included with our massage package came hydrotherapy, a rejuvenating water circuit, a eucalyptus steam room, and sauna. Highly Recommend!

Montego Bay and the Secrets Resort is a moving postcard. So you'll catch a photogenic vibe pretty much anywhere. BUT! Besides the beach - of course, Breathless Resorts & Spas Montego Bay is where I suggest you go to get those IG-worthy posts.
